The facades of the buildings are characterized by balcony strips, flexible window openings, painted concrete elements, and a series of colorful bird motifs—seagulls, the emblem of the building group—created using the graphic concrete technique on the side facing the waterfront. To balance the light, smooth, translucent-plastered brick surfaces, colored concrete sections treated with various techniques have been placed at key points of the facades. Arabianvillat was awarded The 2007 Concrete Facade Award in Finland.
