Our team has versatile experience in housing design, public buildings, renovation and urban planning. Our goal in all design is a high quality living environment in which the needs of the users of the buildings and the conditions for biodiversity have been taken into account in a balanced way.

With a wide network of experts and partners, we are able to manage and lead the design processes of most demanding projects. Our method of operation is exploratory. Each design task and situation creates its own unique features, challenges, opportunities and architectural approach. We map them in dialogue with the client.

We constantly maintain the office's design development. We actively test new ideas and methods of operation e.g. in architectural competitions, from which our office has accumulated numerous prizes over the years.

ARK-house arkkitehdit was founded in 1995 by three offices, Arkkitehtoimisto Markku Erholtz Oy, Arkkitehtitoimisto Hannu Huttunen and Arkkitehtitoimisto Kareoja-Herranen Oy.

Since 2023, the main shareholders of the company have been Sami Vikström Architecture Ltd, Arkkitehtitoimisto Hannu Huttunen Oy, and Arkkitehtitoimisto Kareoja-Herranen Oy.
