TRAFFIC TERMINAL AREA DEVELOPMENT

The assingment was to create ideas for developing the Kuopio Bus Station area and to connect it better to the city centre of Kuopio.
ARK-house architects proposed a solution to develop the area into a full blown traffic terminal with 2 new city squares and 36 200 to 37 000 m2 total area of new communal, office- and commercial premises. The overall plan consists of several alternative optional designs with different approaches to the assignment.
